We have a dream… to equip workers in the Two-Thirds World to tell stories that will impact their country. Stories of change and hope. Narrative and documentary short films using just the smartphone in their hand. Writing, shooting, editing, and distribution on social media. Since 2017 we have trained several hundred young and old. In 2023, six workshops to equip workers in Egypt, India, and Thailand. The dream goes on and we value your help!

My co-trainer and wife Professor Christine Henrich and I have been involved in training individuals to use their mobile devices (smartphones) to write, shoot and edit stories that will impact others for good – life changing stories that might have been ignored and untold. For years we consulted with major NGOs as mediastrategy consultants to help them tell their stories, working with both expatriates and locals of the NGO work in Asia and Africa. In 2021 we led workshops in Egypt, Pakistan, Tanzania and Ethiopia with over 100 students. In 2022 our workshops included two one-week workshops in Egypt, Pakistan and Senegal. In 2023, we completed a week long workshops in Thailand(1), India(2), and three workshops in Alexandria, Egypt.

During our 2023 workshops we established formal relationships with two production groups. One in Egypt called LIFE TEAMS. The team members were part of the Handclasp Mobile Filmmaking Workshop in Alexandria. Handclasp donated a full set of production equipment to the team and looks forward to future productions.
